(MAMEC) is a new association designed to bring together MEC’s from all over Manitoba. Our objectives are to share training, education, and best practices of being a Municipal Emergency Coordinator, and to build strength, community and succession planning for all of our communities across the province.
It is important MEC’s have a voice and input in items such as legislative changes that directly impact our roles and responsibilities and to gain recognition and support from all levels of government.
The Association was started by a group of dedicated and long-standing MEC’s who have a desire to provide more opportunities for professional development as well as the opportunity for new MEC’s to learn more about their positions.
It is important the role of the MEC is recognized for the important part we play in municipal safety. MAMEC is a non-for-profit organization.
